Need help traveling to the south of Spain November

The last 3 nights will be in Malaga since our flight is leaving out of Malaga. Does anyone have suggestions on the cities to see in the south and places to stay? Feel free to suggest cities to see and hotels. We are on a modest budget. Thanks
